To me this is the best song Nayyar Noor has sung as regards giving rich expressions in the delivery of each and every word in this song. This movie also had Runa Laila among the singers and she did sing another song (Main to Chali Hawa kay Sang) which was also beautiful in rendition..and this song Mausam Suhana was obviously Runa's song too but i have to admire the music director who called Nayyar Noor for this song and she performed remakably well. I dunt see too many songs given to her (may be 50 in total) and she sang most of them as flat as she could sing..and all of them are no longer remembered except Roothay huay tum (Aaina) or Tera saya jahan bhi ho sajna (Gharana) and one or two more..She is a shy personality basically and has much of a sober image especially since she started on Tv singing Khurshid's gem songs which most of the new generation fellows take as her own Pakistani songs Ghata ghanghor ghor, Panchhi Bawra etc :) and not to forget her famous drama serial songs like Kabhi Hum Khoobsurat Thay (Teesra Kinara) Drama Taan Sen and Other Geet & Ghazals like Faiz sahab's Hum ke Thehray Ajnabi, Nasir Kazmi's Rang Barsat ne Bharay Kuchh to, Qalandar Bakhsh Jurrat's Dil mein kya kya aayay hay & the last popular being Meri Zaaat Zarra-e-BayNishaan. All of these feature voice of a graceful personality and no one can imagine that she sang a few cabret songs or masti songs like this in the past with rich expressions. I tried hard but couldnt find a flow n rhythm like this in any other of her song.. May be just like a Bowler or a Batsman gets rhythm not everyday, she got a perfect rhythm that day :) The closest one to this song will be posted next in her Best of Series and it will be in video. Enjoy this song and wait for her next plz. Sorry for being so descriptive.

About Nayara noor

Nayyara Noor is a Pakistani singer considered one of the subcontinent's foremost exponents in the Ghazal genre.


Nayyara Noor was born in 1950 in Assam. Her family was a merchant class hailing from Amritsar who had settled in Guwahati in Assam State in the Eastern India. Her father was an active member of the Muslim League and in 1958, the family moved to Pakistan.

Although Nayyara had no formal musical background nor formal training, she was discovered by Professor Israr at the Islamia College in Lahore after hearing her sing for her friends and teachers at an annual dinner at the National College of Arts in Lahore in 1968. Soon thereafter she was asked to sing for the university's Radio Pakistan programme.

In 1971, Nayyara made her pubic singing debut in Pakistani television serials and then beginning with films like Gharana and Tansen. She has since sung ghazals composed by the likes of Ghalib and Faiz Ahmed Faiz and has performed with Mehdi Hassan. She has won three gold medals in the All Pakistan Music Conference and a Nigar Award for best female singer. She has since performed at countless mehfils and mushairas having cemented a following among ghazal lovers in Pakistan and India.

As an individual originating from India it is my confirmed opinion that she is truly the greatest singers from Pakistan and is second to none. Such superb delicacy and finesse in her Gazal renditions it touches ones heart and soul. She is indeed God's gift to the world of music.
